Custom glassware manufacturer: borosilicate drinkware on an automated line

If you are developing a glass tumbler, juice glass or to-go cup, holding the same shape, colour and price across a full production run matters as much as the first sample. As a custom glassware manufacturer, we run borosilicate on an automated line at about 35,000 glasses a month, with hand finishing where the design needs it.

Borosilicate glass manufacturer: decoration techniques we run

Borosilicate is strong, clear and handles temperature change. These are the decoration techniques we run on glass, and the ones that suit a given body depend on the glass and the design:

Milk swirls and melted dots: coloured glass worked into the surface while hot.

Pulled cane and trailed thread: stripes and fine lines drawn from the furnace, including striped glass tumblers.

Wheel-cut and frosted: cut or frosted patterns, with simple and detailed options so you can pick a range before costing is locked.

Etched glass tumblers: florals and graphics. Etch pricing follows the most complex artwork, so mix simple and detailed designs up front.

Jelly tints with a lustre finish: translucent colour with a metallic sheen.

Glass colours are matched from physical swatch libraries. If you need to match your palette, send a Pantone or a sample and we will match it.

Glass to-go cups with straws: lids that fit

A sipper only works if the lid seals. We supply lids and straws, including glass straws, and make small mould adjustments so the rim fits the lid you specify. That fit is checked on the first sample, not after production. A glass tumbler with a lid and straw, or a glass cup with a bamboo lid, can be wholesale-ready in the same programme as your plain drinking glasses.

Juice glasses and wholesale drinking glasses

Beyond to-go cups, we make juice glasses, tumblers and drinking glasses in clear and coloured borosilicate. A base glass can be decorated later, so a programme can start with plain glasses and add etched or cut versions in the next season.

What to send a custom glassware manufacturer

Capacity and a body shape, or a reference sample.

The decoration you want, or two or three techniques from the list above.

Target volume and price. We will say plainly if the target needs a different technique or body.

Packaging and testing needs (food contact, REACH, Prop 65).

You will get a rough cost sheet that shows where the cost sits (glass, decoration, lid, packing, testing), then samples. Mould cost can be shared across colours and styles, which is the quickest way to bring a programme's investment down.

Good to Know

Questions buyers ask a custom glassware manufacturer

What is your MOQ?

It depends on the body and decoration technique. Tell us your target and we will quote against it.

How long do samples take?

It depends on the decoration; you get a ready date with the rough cost sheet.

Can you decorate an existing glass?

Yes. Etching and cutting can be applied to a base borosilicate piece.

Do you make wholesale drinking glasses in custom colours?

Yes. Glass and decoration colours are matched to a swatch or Pantone.

Is borosilicate food safe?

Borosilicate is widely used for drinkware. We price food-contact and REACH testing into the quote so your compliance team has the documents it needs.
